Eligibility

Any full-time student enrolled at Asia-Pacific University may apply for On-Campus Employment. A full-time student is any undergraduate student who is registered for a minimum of 9 credits or permitted on a reduced class load to clear existing debt and are in good academic standing i.e.:

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above
  • Specific eligibility requirements will be outlined for each position in the posted job description
  • All hiring is at the discretion of on-campus supervisors. As a result, students must complete an application and interview process to be considered for any position on campus

Number of Work Hours

Students may work up to 20 hours per week during the school year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer when not taking classes and during vacation periods or with a reduced class load. You are allowed to work multiple jobs, but the combined hours must not exceed the maximum work hours permitted.

  1. Any exception in working hours require VPAA permission in consultation with the Academic Advisor
  2. Any student requesting/needing to work beyond the capped 20 hours per week, may need to reduce the academic class load as appropriate. This arrangement will require consultation with the Academic Advisor and the Student Work Program Coordinator
